United 'doubts'
Graeme Souness has admitted he has "doubts" over Manchester United's summer signings.
The Red Devils have so far added Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee to their squad and are close to signing Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
However, Souness is unsure over signing more of Erik ten Hag's former players, telling talkSPORT: "He knew what he was going to get from the other players he got from Ajax and I don’t think anyone is jumping up and down and saying how fabulous they’ve been.
"I’m doubtful about De Ligt, I’m sorry. He didn’t get into the [Dutch] national team at the Euros, he was only a squad player.
"When you look at his profile, he’s been at two enormous football clubs. Those kind of clubs don’t usually like to sell players, they hold onto their best players. That in itself tells a story.
"He was a star as a boy but has he progressed since then? I’m not sure if he’s what Manchester United need at this time.
"They definitely need a centre-half because Jonny Evans played a lot of games, he’s 36. But is De Ligt the one?
"When I look at him I see a lightweight centre-half. Was there a queue of other teams wanting to buy him? I don’t think there was."

According to Sky Sports, the Everton striker is one of a number of forwards spoken of at Old Trafford.
Calvert-Lewin is into the final year of his Toffees contract.
However, striker is not currently a priority position for United in the current transfer window and a move is unlikely unless a player leaves the club.

United to finish '25 points' behind City says Brown
Phil Brown believes Manchester United will finish a considerable distance behind rivals Manchester City again this season.
The former Premier League manager told Football Daily: "Manchester United at the moment, are not the kind of club that players are coming in and just genuinely hitting the ground running, they have to bed themselves in and take time.
"It was a real difficult season for [Manchester] United, but they finished off on a little bit of a high [winning the FA Cup], you have to say that.
"I didn’t see the Community Shield on Saturday, but I still say there will be 25 points difference between Manchester United and Manchester City next season."

United to finish fourth
Louis Saha believes Manchester United will finish fourth in the Premier League unless they make more signings.
He told CSDB.gg: "For me, the Premier League table has an obvious order this season.
"Manchester City are so comfortable and have a squad that fits all the requirements, even though Arsenal have played some great football, they won’t have enough - despite adding quality to their squad.
"Liverpool have changed their manager and will change aspects of their game that we will see, but it will take time.
"I think Manchester City will win the title and Liverpool and Arsenal will be just behind. Chelsea have made too many changes and don’t have that foundation, it’s a huge ask for the new manager.
"Manchester United still need to show more but if they don’t make more signings then fourth is what they will have to aim for."

Ferdinand questions De Ligt
Rio Ferdinand has questioned Matthijs de Ligt’s credentials ahead of his move to Manchester United.
He said on his podcast: “He's had a lot of injuries, hasn't started many games over the last two or three years and Man United are spending £45-50million on him.
"Is he going to come into Man United and make a difference?
"I think it's a big ask for him and all eyes are going to be on him.
“Big pressure, big opportunity for him, but there's a lot of uncertainty I think with this signing because of his previous seasons with two big clubs not going as well as we'd have anticipated."

De Ligt will be 'success'
Louis Saha has claimed that Matthijs de Ligt will be a success at Manchester United and that the Premier League will be a good fit for him.
He told CSDB.gg: "Matthijs de Ligt is a confident player and a leader in his own right, but he has struggled to maintain his form in the years since leaving Ajax.
"Having said that, I think the Premier League is a good fit for him and it will provide him that extra motivation to get back to his very best.
"There is also the surprise element of having him come from abroad so strikers might not know how to play against him."
